Our chapter will be coordinating a fine arts workshop called "Story Time with Fredrick and Friends.” This workshop will be held at Bryant Elementary School located at 1 Tyron Avenue in Teaneck, NJ on Friday, December 5th from 3:30pm - 6:30pm.
We will read a book called Fredrick to the elementary students. The book is about a little mouse that uses poetry, art, and music to help his family overcome a crisis. After reading the story, we will have the children engage in a brief discussion about the importance of fine arts. Likewise, children will be asked to demonstrate ways they would use arts to help their families overcome a crisis.
We need three members for the following positions:
"The Storyteller," a member to read the book to the children
(3 service hours)
"The Moderator," a member to lead the discussion after story time
(3 service hours)
"The Art Assistant," a member to help children with their art demonstrations
(3 service hours)
